The brand is inextricably linked to the passion for the perfect espresso and defines itself as a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. We really love what we do. At Briel, we intend to distinguish ourselves from the mass-produced small appliances manufacturing by a great attention to the detail and focus on durability and functionality. Quality has always been, and will continue to be, the foundation underpinning everything we do. The initial product range included mixers and vacuum cleaners. With great business dynamics and know-how, it has become a quality symbol over the years. ES35 Chamonix, Best Buy, Dime, Japan. ES15 Lido, Best Buy, Consumer Guide, USA. The competence and skills that we have deepened over time, either by improving processes, by using more durable and ecologically sustainable materials, or by the continuous research and technological development. Of the many thousands of coffee machines Briel produced over the years, equipments that are spread all over the world, the feedback we have is of total satisfaction for its flawless operation: extracting a perfect espresso coffee, day after day, year after year. This frankly positive and global opinion on our products, which speaks for itself, makes us very proud. It is something that can only be fully understood by experiencing an espresso from a Briel coffee machine. http://xn----otbabpoogeff7mf.xn--p1ai/archive/image/brother-printer-5140-manual.xml
From the robust stainless-steel boiler to the special crema maker filter, to the use of electronic technology designed to control the operation on the latest models, everything is specifically designed, thoroughly developed and exhaustively tested, by ourselves, so that the final result meets any highest expectations. Briel team brings together people with multiple professional backgrounds: the elders who, with all the commitment and dedication, have been working with our brand since its beginning (for over 40 years); highly qualified and experienced technicians in areas with high technological development in recent times such as plastic injection, metalworking and tooling; and also engineers, from the most prestigious universities, sharing their advanced knowledge and expertise in the production and continuous improvement of our coffee machines. More than 90 of the parts that make up our machines are produced in Portugal: beyond the assembly, all plastic and metal parts, including our exclusive stainless-steel boiler and special filter, are made in-house. Even the toolings for all these processes are developed and built, from scratch, by us. The remaining components are predominantly European, as we do not compromise on quality. All these parts are thoroughly checked and controlled before the final assembly, which is performed by very experienced people, with all the care and attention. However, if some maintenance or repair is needed, we guarantee spare parts supply for at least 10 years. We simply cannot see our coffee machines as throw-away small domestic appliances. We believe that all consumers and manufacturers will think this way, getting engaged in an environmental-friendly and ecologically sustainable world development. But, as all Briel customers know, we have been thinking this way for over 40 years, since all our coffee machines are designed to be repairable and serviceable. http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/76856
Another important factor is the cost-effectiveness: an espresso from ground coffee can cost up to 8 times less than a capsule coffee. Considering the hundreds of coffees that the average consumer and, perhaps, its family have each year, just imagine how much you can save thru the long lifespan of the machine. If you prefer a more practical, quick and clean way to obtain an authentic espresso, our machines are ready to use both ground coffee and ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) standard pods, consisting of mono-doses of pressed coffee, with the appropriate grind and quantity, placed between two sheets of food grade filter paper, with the advantage of being more environmental-friendly than capsules. It is no coincidence that boilers are the preferred technical solution of true professionals and it is the type of configuration we can find in the best and most expensive high-end coffee machines. It all comes down to pressure: if too low, your espresso will be under-concentrated and weak. Although not always necessary, more pressure helps the user to make a better-quality shot, offering greater flexibility and tolerance to different types of grinding and quantity of coffee. It also means that the pump the machine is equipped with is more robust and it will not always be working to the limit of its capacity, providing less wear and ensuring an outstanding durability, without loss of power or efficiency over time. The mechanics of our coffee machines were engineered to work with a 20 bar pump, warranting the smoothest and creamiest espresso shots even in the most demanding situations. All equipped with the best Italian pumps, reliable and durable. We have versions for single (one shot) and double dose (two shots taken simultaneously). It took us years of research and testing to develop and improve this filter so that extracting a good espresso is not exclusive to professional baristas: it is available to everyone. It is really easy. http://genesisrealtycorp.com/images/brief-intervention-for-hazardous-and-harmful-drinking-a-manual-for-use-in-primary-care.pdf
Our system regulates the water crossing by the coffee powder, increasing the pressure necessary to dispense it, resulting in a flavourful and aromatic crema on the top of your espresso shot. It is a device that is usually found in the best and most expensive high-end coffee machines. If you want more refined results, revealing your motivation to be a true barista, you should keep the pressure fixed, using the grind, the time and the tamp as control variables, adjusting the latter until it feels like perfect to you. Or a latte macchiato. We have good news for you. Briel coffee machines with steam pipe have an excellent frothing capacity of milk, ensuring the very fast availability of a powerful and continuous steam, without the unwanted water remains. The result will be a milk foam at the right temperature, structure, and thickness, which you can use to prepare your favourite drinks. The exceptional continuous steam function of Briel coffee machines is possible thanks to both the use of our boiler, also designed for this application, and the improved electronic control that, in some models, provides micro-injections of water into the boiler without affecting the required high temperature, thus allowing the continuous use of steam even for long periods. Naturally, not all the machines are the same, but most have common, easy-to-use features such as a steam wand for frothing milk, a coffee filter and a dial which allows you to choose the strength of your beverage. The basic process of using the machines is similar across all models. Briel is a manufacturer of coffee machines. Fill the water tank to the level indicated on the unit. Switch the coffee machine on. You will notice a light on the front of your machine will illuminate when the water is at a suitable brewing temperature. Markings are different on each model, but the light will more than likely illuminate beside a picture of a coffee cup or a temperature symbol. Place the filter basket in the filter basket holder, the cylinder with the handle attached. Place espresso-ground coffee inside the filter basket and tamp it down. If your model is equipped for using coffee pods, use the special filter for the pod. Secure the filter basket holder into the metallic port on the underside of the main body of the Briel espresso machine. Twist it snugly into place. Adjust the size of your espresso shot. cysasdo.com/geektic/files/collins-proline-21-manual.pdf
There will be a dial which you can adjust which will change the size of your espresso (usually signified by the symbol of a slightly filled cup at the beginning of the dial range, stretching to the symbol of a full coffee cup). Turn the dial to the size of espresso shot you would like. Press the button on your espresso machine that looks like a coffee cup to make your coffee. If you wish to add frothed milk to your espresso, press the button on your machine that is beside a symbol for steam. Wait for the nearby light to illuminate--this tells you the water in the tank is at a suitable temperature to produce steam. Place the wand inside a jug of hot milk and turn the knob on the top of your machine very gradually. You will hear the steam beginning to heat the milk and eventually you will see the heating process. When you have frothed the milk, add it to your espresso. Fold a thick cloth three or four times for extra thickness and use it to clean the steam wand. Clean the rest of the machine, too, before switching the unit off. Alex 2.0 out of 5 stars Americano, shots, pods all went well but our attempts at cappuchino seemed to break the seal - probably due to the fact that we lost the instructions. However after a year of use it started leaking badly and stopped working entirely. It broke just before the warranty expired (fortunately) and we were able to take it back for a replacement. The new one since limed up quickly and the lime is proving very difficult to remove. We daren't make cappuchino for fear of breaking it. We've basically stopped using it until we manage to de-scale it. Would probably suggest getting a differnt machine - but to be fair it made great coffee for about 10 months. Bought long ago and never used. Tried to use it now, but water comes out on the side of the coffee holder. ANY remedy? Email me your email address and I'll send you grinder cleaning instructions. You may have to have to machine serviced. And the shower screen is cleen. Also machine has s t r a n g e s o u n d. Login to post I tried my old Briel crema filter and it works fine making good cream. I was told to untighten the screw in the new crema filter but the screw just goes round and round, even with an electric drill. Can't tighten it or loosen it. Anyone got any suggestions? But for others with similar problem. You may have a blocked top filter screen. If the machine is not cleaned regularly this screen can become so dirty and clogged that the water cannot get through. Easy way to tell is run a shot without the portafilter basket in place. Water should flow out of the top screen. www.cxnjl.com/userfiles/files/collins-pm2-manual.pdf
If you see it spurting out in small streams it needs to be cleaned. On the ES200AP MPS machines you simply need to remove the screw in the middle of the screen, clean well, then replace.I've run it without the filter holder and water comes thru ok. I've also run a decalcifier liquid. Everything works fine except that coffee comes out cold. There is no way to heat up water. Which part could be deffect? Contact Fank at ElectraCraft PhoneIt works great and keeps the finer grounds from clogging it up. Alternatively look at the FAQ section: I found what appears to be a New Jersey company that sells parts for US customers. I haven't called or e-mailed them yet, so I can't say that I've verified their parts selection, but I thought it would be good to share their contact information anyway. IF I find that they don't have this part, or that it isn't worth contacting this company, then I'll post another message here and let you know. Your mileage may vary. Took the brew unit out and clean all the parts, not working. Tried the rinsing but no water comes out from the coffee dispenser and now got stuck. The machine is out of warranty, will be expensive for repair. Could anyone help to advise how to get out of the rinsing. Should I replace water with descaling solution and run the rinsing? UK supplied machines are 240V to ensure satisfactory performance. For the person who created Braille, see Louis Braille. For other uses, see Braille (disambiguation). Without proper rendering support, you may see question marks, boxes, or other symbols instead of Braille characters. Braille users can read computer screens and other electronic supports using refreshable braille displays. They can write braille with the original slate and stylus or type it on a braille writer, such as a portable braille notetaker or computer that prints with a braille embosser. In 1824, at the age of fifteen, he developed a code for the French alphabet as an improvement on night writing. The number and arrangement of these dots distinguish one character from another. There may be embossed illustrations and graphs, with the lines either solid or made of series of dots, arrows, bullets that are larger than braille dots, etc. However, in the face of changes in education policy and screen reader software, braille usage has declined in recent decades, despite the fact that technologies such as braille displays have also made braille more accessible and practical. In 1821 Barbier visited the Royal Institute for the Blind in Paris, where he met Louis Braille. Braille identified two major defects of the code: first, by representing only sounds, the code was unable to render the orthography of the words; second, the human finger could not encompass the whole 12-dot symbol without moving, and so could not move rapidly from one symbol to another.Letters a ? and c ?, which only use dots in the top row, were shifted two places for the apostrophe and hyphen: ? ?. (These are also the decade diacritics, at left in the table below, of the second and third decade.)The fifth through ninth used dashes as well as dots, but proved to be impractical and were soon abandoned. The dash occupying the top row of the original sixth decade was simply dropped, producing the modern fifth decade. (See 1829 braille. )This unification avoids the chaos of each nation reordering the braille code to match the sorting order of its print alphabet, as happened in Algerian Braille, where braille codes were numerically reassigned to match the order of the Arabic alphabet and bear little relation to the values used in other countries (compare modern Arabic Braille, which uses the French sorting order), and as happened in an early American version of English Braille, where the letters w, x, y, z were reassigned to match English alphabetical order. A convention sometimes seen for letters beyond the basic 26 is to exploit the physical symmetry of braille patterns iconically, for example, by assigning a reversed n to n or an inverted s to sh. (See Hungarian Braille and Bharati Braille, which do this to some extent.)Finally, there are braille scripts which don't order the codes numerically at all, such as Japanese Braille and Korean Braille, which are based on more abstract principles of syllable composition.A raised dot can appear in any of the six positions, producing sixty-four (2 6 ) possible patterns, including one in which there are no raised dots. For reference purposes, a pattern is commonly described by listing the positions where dots are raised, the positions being universally numbered, from top to bottom, as 1 to 3 on the left and 4 to 6 on the right. For example, dot pattern 1-3-4 describes a cell with three dots raised, at the top and bottom in the left column and at the top of the right column: that is, the letter ? m. The lines of horizontal Braille text are separated by a space, much like visible printed text, so that the dots of one line can be differentiated from the braille text above and below. Different assignments of braille codes (or code pages ) are used to map the character sets of different printed scripts to the six-bit cells. Braille assignments have also been created for mathematical and musical notation. However, because the six-dot braille cell allows only 64 (2 6 ) patterns, including space, the characters of a braille script commonly have multiple values, depending on their context. That is, character mapping between print and braille is not one-to-one. For example, the character.Because braille letters cannot be effectively erased and written over if an error is made, an error is overwritten with all six dots ( ? ). Interpoint refers to braille printing that is offset, so that the paper can be embossed on both sides, with the dots on one side appearing between the divots that form the dots on the other. Using a computer or other electronic device, Braille may be produced with a braille embosser (printer) or a refreshable braille display (screen). In 8-dot braille the additional dots are added at the bottom of the cell, giving a matrix 4 dots high by 2 dots wide. The additional dots are given the numbers 7 (for the lower-left dot) and 8 (for the lower-right dot). Eight-dot braille has the advantages that the case of an individual letter is directly coded in the cell containing the letter and that all the printable ASCII characters can be represented in a single cell. All 256 (2 8 ) possible combinations of 8 dots are encoded by the Unicode standard. Braille with six dots is frequently stored as Braille ASCII.Omitting dot 3 from these forms the 4th decade, the ligatures ch, gh, sh, th, wh, ed, er, ou, ow and the letter w.They have no direct equivalent in print. The most important in English Braille are:Its reading depends on whether it occurs before a word or after. Its placement relative to spaces and other characters determines its interpretation. For example, French Braille uses. The letter ? and, for example, is used to write words with the sequence a-n-d in them, such as ? ? hand.Currently more than 1 of all printed books have been translated into braille. Children who are blind or visually impaired can begin learning pre-braille skills from a very young age to become fluent braille readers as they get older.A study conducted in the state of Washington found that people who learned braille at an early age did just as well, if not better than their sighted peers in several areas, including vocabulary and comprehension. The raised Braille reads 'plavix'. To reduce space and increase reading speed, most braille alphabets and orthographies use ligatures, abbreviations, and contractions. There is an intermediate form, called Grade 1 Braille, that is between Computer Braille (one-for-one identity with print) and Grade 2 Braille. In Grade 1 Braille, the capital sign and number sign are used, and most punctuation marks are shown using their Grade 2 values. Thus the word but is contracted to the single letter b, can to c, do to d, and so on. Even this simple rule creates issues requiring special cases; for example, d is, specifically, an abbreviation of the verb do; the noun do representing the note of the musical scale is a different word, and must be spelled out. Some portions of the transcription rules are not fully codified and rely on the judgment of the transcriber. They are not used for publication, but by individuals for their personal convenience. When computer software produces braille, this is called brailleOne skill important for Braille readers is the ability to create smooth and even pressures when running one's fingers along the words. Another important reading skill emphasized in this study is to finish reading the end of a line with the right hand and to find the beginning of the next line with the left hand simultaneously. One final conclusion drawn by both Lowenfield and Abel is that children have difficulty using both hands independently where the right hand is the dominant hand. But this hand preference does not correlate to other activities. Consequently, mutual intelligibility was greatly hindered by this state of affairs. Some braille alphabets start with unified braille, and then diverge significantly based on the phonology of the target languages, while others diverge even further. In both Mandarin and Cantonese Braille, however, characters have different readings depending on whether they are placed in syllable-initial (onset) or syllable-final (rime) position. For instance, the cell for Latin k, ?, represents Cantonese k ( g in Yale and other modern romanizations) when initial, but aak when final, while Latin j, ?, represents Cantonese initial j but final oei.It does not use standard braille; rather, the feature uses a system developed in consultation with blind and low vision Canadians after research indicated that braille was not sufficiently robust and that not all potential users read braille. Some embossers have proprietary control codes for 8-dot braille or for full graphics mode, where dots may be placed anywhere on the page without leaving any space between braille cells so that continuous lines can be drawn in diagrams, but these are rarely used and are not standard.Dot 1 corresponds to the least significant bit of the low byte of the Unicode scalar value, and dot 8 to the high bit of that byte. However, modern tables often organize the supplementary characters differently: Those with a dot 3 are listed as a 6th group of 6 characters, and those with dots only on the right side are listed as a 7th group of 7, without anything in common with the other characters in the columns they are listed under.
